Biography

Dr. Yaron Wolman is the Chief of the Health section of UNICEF Kenya since September 2018. Prior to that Dr. Yaron had been the UNICEF India Chief of the Health section (January 2016 – May 2018); UNICEF Sierra Leone CO – Freetown, Chief of the Child Survival and Development section (June 2012 – December 2015), including during the Ebola outbreak response; UNICEF Chad CO, N’djamena, Chief of the Health and Nutrition section (March 2010 – June 2012); United Nations Population Fund – UNFPA, Geneva Office, as Maternal Health Technical Specialist (2008 –2009); Wolfson University Hospital, Pediatric Division, Tel Aviv, Israel, as Pediatric resident physician (2005–2007); Clinic Manager/Director in Hanoi Family Medical Practice (FMP) and General Practitioner in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi Family Medical Practices (FMP), in Vietnam (2002– 2005); Mother Theresa Mission Addis Ababa Ethiopia (2002), as General Practitioner; and at Hadassah Mount-Scopus University Hospital, Jerusalem, Israel (2001 – 2002), as Senior House Officer, at the Pediatric Emergency Department.

Dr. Yaron Wolman holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Geneva, Haute Ecole de Commerce (HEC), Switzerland, Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (DTM&H) from the Mahidol University, Tropical Medicine School, Bangkok, Thailand; and a Medical Doctor (MD) degree from the Hebrew University, Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem, Israel.
